Before terminating an EOR employee, please review this checklist. Always notify Helios of termination plans in advance.

Updated over 2 months ago
  1. Pre-Termination Preparation

    • Review Employment Agreement

      • Understand notice period, probation status and local

      • Review termination clauses (for cause vs. without cause)

    • Evaluate Reason for Termination

      • Document performance issues, conduct violations, business restructure, or end of project.

  2. Notify Helios Support Team of an Upcoming Termination

    • Notify Helios Support Team in writing with:

      • Employee Name, ID, and Job Title

      • Reason for termination

      • Preferred termination date

      • Supporting documentation (if applicable)

    • Request Termination Feasibility Review

      • Helios will assess compliance, risks, and legal obligations based on country laws.

    • Schedule Offboarding call with Helios to align on next steps and timelines.

    • Provide Final Approval to Helios to proceed with termination once legal position is clear.

Important: Never directly terminate an EOR employee without Helios involvement. Helios is the legal employer and must handle the formal process in line with local laws.
