EOR: Running Your First EOR Payroll

Guide for Getting Started with Globalli Payroll

Updated yesterday

Overview

Employer of Record (EOR) payroll allows you to employ workers in countries where you don’t have a local entity. Globalli handles local compliance, taxes, statutory benefits, and filings — you focus on approving payroll.

This guide walks you through how to:

  1. Review payroll inputs

  2. Add one-time payments or adjustments

  3. Submit payroll for processing

  4. Receive and review your Cash Requirements (CR) invoice

  5. Fund payroll

  6. Confirm payroll is released to employees and authorities

  7. Receive payroll reports and confirmations

Before You Run Payroll

Make sure the following are complete:

  • ✅ Employee onboarding is finalized

  • ✅ Employment agreements are signed

  • ✅ Salary, allowances, and benefits are confirmed

  • ✅ Bank funding details are set up

  • ✅ Payroll cutoff dates are noted

If any of these are incomplete, payroll may be delayed.

Step 1: Locate Current Pay Cycle

At the start of each payroll cycle:

  • Log into app.globalli.io with your Company Admin account.

  • Navigate to Payments from the left navigation and select Employer of Record

  • Find the current Pay Cycle and click Continue. Your Pay Cycle status should be set to "Start Payroll".

Step 2: Review Payroll Inputs

  • Once you've opened the payroll cycle, select the three dots beside Actions in the top right corner and select Make Payroll Changes.

  • Review and adjust if needed, all payroll inputs, including:

    • Base salaries

    • Approved and Taken Paid Time Off and Hours

    • Overtime and Hours

    • Statutory Holiday Pay and Hours

    • Commissions, bonuses, or other one time payments

    • Approved expense reimbursements

Once all inputs are complete, click Apply Changes

Step 3: Submit Payroll

You may need to refresh the page to see your saved changes in the employee chart.

  • When you're ready, select Submit Payroll in the bottom right corner. You'll be able to preview your invoice before confirming submission.

  • A pop-up will display an amount covering all employee salaries, taxes, and deductions.

  • Click Preview Cash Requirements Invoice to download the invoice and see a full breakdown of cash requirements and any additional fees associated with the pay cycle.

  • Click Approve Payroll to submit the payroll.

  • Payroll status will update to Awaiting Funds

Step 4: Fund Cash Requirements Invoice

Once you Approve the Payroll, the Cash Requirements Invoice will be emailed to you and available within your Globalli account for reference and funding.

To access your invoice, you can follow the steps in the email notification sent to you or access from your Globalli acount:

  • Open the left-hand navigation menu

  • Select Dashboard

  • Click on Financial

  • Locate the invoice that requires funding and click on it

  • Select Download Invoice

  • Follow the payment instructions on the invoice to remit payment.

  • Once payment has been received your invoice status will update to Paid.

Step 5: Download Employee Summary

From each invoice within the Financial section, you can select to Download Employee Summary. This provides a breakdown of gross wages, employer liabilities and allowances or deductions per employee.

What Happens After Approval

  • Employees are paid on the scheduled pay date

  • Payslips are generated and available in the platform

  • Taxes and statutory filings are handled on your behalf
