Onboarding Requirements for EOR Employees in Puerto Rico

1. Employment Contract

Requirement:
Globalli must provide employees with a written employment contract outlining the terms and conditions of employment in accordance with applicable labor regulations.

Must Include:

  • Job title and responsibilities

  • Salary and payment terms

  • Working hours

  • Employment start date

  • Workplace location

  • Probation period (if applicable)

  • Notice period

Purpose:

  • Establishes the legal employment relationship between the employee and Globalli

  • Defines the rights and obligations of both parties

  • Ensures compliance with applicable U.S. and Puerto Rico labor laws such as the Fair Labor Standards Act

2. Identity (ID Card, Passport, Permanent Resident)

Requirement:
Employees must provide valid identification during the onboarding process.

Accepted Documents:

  • Government-issued ID card

  • Passport

  • Permanent Resident Card (Green Card), if applicable

Purpose:

  • Confirms the employee’s identity

  • Verifies eligibility to work in Puerto Rico

  • Supports employment eligibility verification and HR records

3. Bank Account Details

Requirement:
Employees must provide their bank account details for payroll processing.

Details Required:

  • Account holder name

  • Bank name

  • Account number

Purpose:

  • Enables salary payments via bank transfer

  • Ensures accurate payroll processing

  • Allows reimbursement of work-related expenses

4. SSN Card (Social Security)

Requirement:
Employees must provide their Social Security Number (SSN) or a copy of their Social Security card.

Details:

  • Issued by the U.S. government

  • Used as a unique identification number for employment and taxation

Purpose:

  • Required for payroll tax reporting

  • Enables Social Security and Medicare contributions

  • Ensures compliance with reporting requirements to the Social Security Administration
