Tracking time accurately is essential for ensuring correct payroll processing, compliance with local labor laws, and transparency across your global workforce. This article will guide you through how to log, review, and submit time entries within Helios.
Who Should Use Time Tracking?
Time tracking is available to:
Employees hired through our Employer of Record (EOR) service
Contractors logging billable hours
Internal employees working across multiple projects or cost centers
Important: Your ability to track time may depend on your company’s configuration and location-specific labor laws. Please reach out to your manager or contact us if don’t see this option.
How to Track Time
Log in to Helios
Go to app.helios.io and sign in with your credentials.
Add a Time Entry
Navigate to and click on Record Time from the left navigation bar. This will enable the clock to start tracking in real time. Clocked In time will remain visible on your left navigation.
Note: Your time will continue to be tracked if you log out of Helios or navigate to a different browser tab. You will remain clocked in until you clock out.
If you need to pause the clock for a break, select the three dots and click Pause.
Choose the appropriate pause category and select Apply.
Once applied, your navigation bar will stop the time and the clock will appear as paused.
When you've returned to work, select the three dots and click Resume
When you are finished working for the day or your shift has ended, navigate back to the clock, select the three dots and click Clock Out.
The clock will disappear and you will be able to clock in to track a new time entry when needed.
Review your Time Sheets
Click on Time and Attendance from the left navigation bar
Here you will access to Overview, Timesheet, and Time Off
Edit your Time Sheets
If you forgot to clock out or you need to make an adjustment to one of your time entries, select the three dots beside the entry and click Request Edit
Adjust the time entry as needed. You can adjust the Check In Date and Check Out Date, Time, as well as any breaks where you selected to Pause the clock. You can also request to delete an entry by selecting the check box for Request to delete.
Once you've made your adjustments, make sure to provide a reason for your edit request. This is a mandatory step before sending to your manager for approval.
Once edits are complete, select Send to Manager
Once approved by your manager, you will see the updated entry reflected on your Timesheet.
Submitting Time Sheets
Time sheets are automatically submitted and viewable by your manager in real time as you record your time and/or edit your timesheets. You and your manager may agree to a set schedule to have all entries submitted and confirmed.
